With store-and-forward, your documents are sent to our system, then faxed out to destination fax number. The waiting time varies for each  Fax to Fax documen, but it's generally quite rapid, on average 30 seconds to one minute after the document is queued.. The advantage of the store-and-forward system is that the Network takes care of redialing at regular intervals.

MEC offers you a full range of fax report options :

• Positive transmission report.

That includes the top half of your documents cover page so that you can track your faxes.

You can also get our latest option, the fax activity report, which is a report of all the faxes to fax machine you send out in any given time period. Make sure that the fax machine from which you are placing a test is a registered fax number with MEC.

Step 1. Press hook or speaker on the fax machine, so you can hear the dial tone.

Step 2. Dial the local  access line.

Step 3. You will hear the voice prompt. Enter yourPIN number followed by the # key.

Step 4. Enter the destination number followed by the * key (including the long distance prefix).

Step 5. You should hear the handshaking sound from the fax server. Press the start key on your fax machine.

Normally, you can press the Start key instead of the * key, but for test purpose this will show you if the system is working properly.
